It would be four days into 2022 before Brewton welcomes its newest member of the community.
Kynnedi Samiya Grace Travis was made her entrance to the world at D.W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton. The newborn is the daughter of Perry Travis and Hannah Smith of Brewton.
Kynnedi weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces and was 17 1/2 inches long at birth.
She was welcomed home by two brothers, Braylen Bullard and Kha’Marion Smith.
The first child of 2022 in Brewton is the granddaughter of Daphne Smith of Brewton, Evelyn Jones of Brewton and Willie C. Travis of Tuscaloosa. She is the great-granddaughter of Linda Smith of Brewton.
As the first baby born in the new year, D.W. McMillan Hospital gifted the child with a basket of gifts including essentials for baby care.
