Election returns end with one run-off set for June

After the Tuesday Republican primary election, one local race has ended with a run-off for the position of County Commissioner for District 3.
Incumbent Scottie Stewart will face Larry White in a run-off set for June 21.
In the race Stewart took 597 votes for 39.15 percent with White taking 557 votes and 36.52 percent of the vote. Billy Blair received 371 votes or 24.33 percent of the votes cast for the race.
In the Escambia County School Board District 4 race, incumbent Cindy Jackson won handily with 666 votes or 57.56 percent of the votes cast in the race. Challenger John Brantley received 259 votes (22.39 percent) and Racheal Fore Wagner received 232 votes (20.05 percent).
In the race for Escambia County Board of Education District 6, incumbent Sherry Digmon took more than 77 percent of the vote with 552 votes cast in her favor. Challenger Michael Bowens received 162 votes (22.69 percent).
