Regional team duals were held Jan. 5, 2023 in Orange Beach to determine which teams would move on to the state duals competition in wrestling.
The undefeated team from W.S. Neal High School took the championship title for the region. The Orange Beach team finished second in the event with only one loss to W.S. Neal.
Other teams participating included T.R. Miller, Escambia County, Bayside Academy, Bayshore Academy and Satsuma.
W.S. Neal will face St. James and Prattville Christian in the next round of Duals set for Jan. 12 at St. James in Montgomery. If the Eagles can win in the event, they will advance to the semi-finals set for Tuesday, Jan. 17.
State Championship Duals are scheduled for Jan. 20 in Huntsville.
