Graduating seniors aren’t always looking ahead to college — some look ahead to beginning a career upon completing high school.
One group of seniors signed letters of intent to accept a job offer or pursue technical training in chosen fields Thursday.
The Escambia Career Readiness Center (ECRC) held National College and Career Signing Day Event on the Brewton Campus of Coastal Alabama Community College honoring graduating seniors from programs at the facility.
ECRC hosted a signing day event by inviting business partners, school administrators, teachers, elected officials, SkillsUSA alumni, family and friends to honor students signing “letters of intent” for a job offer, apprenticeship or advanced technical training.
Students who signed include:
From W.S. Neal High School: Cameron Watson plans to enter the Carpentry Workforce; Shane Ard and Solomon Crapp plan to enter the Welding Workforce; Anna Hawthorne plans to pursue a career as a Veterinarian Technician; Mallory Marky plans to attend Coastal Alabama Community College to pursue a career as a Registered Nurse; Courtney Cannon plans to attend Reid State Technical School to pursue an LPN degree; Arletha Hale plans to continue to pursue a career in Health Care.
From TR Miller High School:
Broox Hart plans to attend Coastal Alabama Community College to continue his training in Industrial Maintenance; Logan Tieppo plans to attend Reid State Technical School to continue his training in Industrial Maintenance; Dakota Pugh plans to continue her Welding education at Coastal Alabama Community College; Angelica Ellis plans to continue her education in Health Science at Coastal Alabama Community College.
From Flomaton High School: Bryson Patterson plans to enroll in the Hall School of Journalism at Troy University to pursue a degree in Journalism; Ayden Bonner plans to enroll in the Automotive program at Lawson State Community College; Kadence Freeman and Ashanti Carter both plan to continue to pursue a career in Health Care.
