Not only is Provalus providing job opportunities to area works in the field of information technology, the company makes it a priority to help the community through a variety of service projects, fund raisers and awareness events.
On July 8, the Brewton-based company will be hosting an event aimed at serving the community of Brewton.
The campus of Provalus, located in downtown Brewton, will be hosting the second annual Glow Walk as part of their “Together Giving Back” (TGB) initiatives in the company.
According to published information, funds raised for this event will support youth STEM Coding Camps program for kids in rural under-served towns. Through those programs, Provalus is giving kids a glimpse into how I.T. can be a pathway to self-sufficiency.
“Youth STEM education is now more important than ever,” a Provalus official stated. “Our children are the future of America, and our efforts are preparing them for a brighter future. ”
The 2023 event is set to kick off at 7 p.m. with a concert at Market Park adjacent to the Provalus campus in Brewton.
TK Concessions will be on hand with refreshments during the evening.
The Glow Walk will begin at 8 p.m. at Jennings Park across from the Provalus facility. Walker registration is $10 each or $3 with a food donation at the event.
The food donations will benefit Brewton’s Backpack Buddies and may consist of any of the following:
• Individual Mac and Cheese Cups
• Juice Boxes
• Individual Chips
• Individual Fruit Cups
• Shelf Stable microwavable meals
• Granola Bars, Nutrigrain Bars etc.
All donations must be individually wrapped and kid-friendly. Please only include shelf-stable items that do not require can openers.
