Brewton Police investigate rash of burglaries

Brewton Police are investigating a rash of burglaries of vehicles around the Brewton area over the past several weeks and they are asking for help from the public.
According to investigators in the matter, the rash of burglaries has been seen all across the community.
The burglaries involve vehicles and contents of vehicles and has been occurring over a period of a few months, investigators said.
Brewton Police officials say the investigation is turning up some leads and there may be arrests coming in the near future.
Based on statements made by investigators the investigations have lead to the assumption that all of the crimes are related to the same suspects in the cases reported.
Brewton Police are offering a $500 reward for any information regarding the crimes that lead to a conviction in the cases.
Because of that, police are asking for help from the public in helping to provide additional information regarding the burglaries and thefts in the city.
Anyone with information on the identity of those responsible for the crimes is asked to call the Brewton Police Department’s Investigations Unit at 809-2804.
Any information provided will be investigated by those involved in pursuit of the suspects in the cases. Any private information provided to investigators will remain anonymous.
No additional details involving the crimes has been released allowing investigators to maintain confidential information that could be the key in solving the cases.
According to publicly posted statements, some of the burglaries have taken place in the Alco and Dogwood Hills areas of Brewton as well as along Belleville Avenue and Rankin Street.
