Students at Brewton Middle and Elementary Schools will be challenged in a different way this week, thanks to the American Character Program’s presentation.
For those students attending the event, they are about to dive into lessons about great American citizens who make this world a better place and then be challenged to make a difference in their community themselves.
This program has been an annual presentation by the Libby Liberty group and has been well received by the students and staff at schools across the nation.
Organizers are asking for support from the community by attending the event.
“Please attend the event to be an example to these students and to show that you value how hard they’re working to become Our Next Great Americans.”
The presentation is planned for Brewton Middle School on Thursday, Sept. 7 beginning at 9 a.m. in the school gymnasium.
The program will be presented at Brewton Elementary School beginning at 1 p.m.
The Libby Liberty™ organization will kick of the Liberty Learning Foundation program with a 45-minute theatrical performance bringing the Statue of Liberty to life and introduces students to our 10-week program featuring lessons in civic responsibility, finanical literacy, character development and career skills and exploration.
