Escambia County Extension Service staff has announced plans for some special classes and an open house coming to the Brewton office.
The Beginning Beekeeping – Part 1 class will be an introduction to bees and beekeeping. The class is set for Saturday, Oct. 21 beginning at 10 a.m. The class will end by noon.
In observation of Extension Week, the Brewton office will be hosting an open house on Friday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Escambia County Extension Office is located at 175 Ag Science Drive, Suite D just off South Boulevard behind the offices of Southern Pine Electric Cooperative.
The Service offers a variety of assistance to area residents in many ag related fields.
