The Coastal Alabama Community College Cross-Country team collected donations for Operation Christmas Child from November 6th to November 14th.
With the donations made, they were able to provide 18 shoeboxes.
The Cross Country team is coached by Coach Misti Nims and includes Kenneth Garcia, James McElhaney, Athan Peterson, Riley Surles, Chance Thronton, Zachary Wyatt, Olivia Kauffman and MaKenzie Thomas. Team Manager is Gracie Sims.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease.
Operation Christmas Child boxes were received, sorted and picked up over the past week to serve children around the world during the coming holidays.
