Finding activities to fill the holiday season got easier this week as the three parks in the city of Brewton have scheduled a time of celebration for the season.
CeleBrewton Lights, an annual holiday celebration, began Nov. 25 with the lighting of the city tree at City Park in downtown Brewton. Other parks with displays include Market Park downtown, Jennings Park along Burnt Corn Creek and Dogwood Hills Park on North Douglas Avenue.
At Dogwood Hills, the Elf village is lit and ready for fun. Elves will be on hand for tours and fun on Thursdays and Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 1 to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
At City Park, the snow machine will be providing a beautiful backdrop for photos at a designated photo spot as well as throughout the park. Snow will fly Thursday through Saturday each week from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The “Singing Tree” will also be on display from 5 to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
At Jennings Park, the snow machine will provide a fun atmosphere Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Train rides will also be a part of the fun during the same time periods each week.
CeleBrewton Lights is presented by the City of Brewton and will continue through Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.
