Hayes takes state championship title

A weekend wrestling tournament in Huntsville landed T.R. Miller High School Junior Brody Hayes a championship title.
Hayes, who had is 200th career win on Friday during the tournament, went on to take the station championship in his division by winning his final match on Saturday.
The 2024 State Wrestling Tournament for 1A-4A was held in Huntsville February 15-17.
Hayes competed in the 132 lb weight class and was crowned State Champion on Saturday.
The win by Hayes marked the first state championship title for T.R. Miller High School. The wrestler completed the season with a 47-1 record.
Hayes has been an active wrestler since seventh grade.
The champion plans to attend Auburn University after graduating from T.R. Miller High School to pursue a degree in engineering.
He is currently a member of the National Honor Society at TRM as well as holding membership in Spanish Club.
In his free time he plays guitar and loves to hunt and fish.
