City of Brewton employees and members of the Events & Entertainment Committee for the city are working make sure the annual Eggsciting Egg Hunt set for Saturday is an enjoyable event for children and adults.
Connie Baggett, director of programs for the city of Brewton, said that thousands of eggs are ready to be hidden ahead of Saturday’s hunt.
“We have more than 2,000 eggs for kids to hunt,” Baggett said. “Five eggs will have $100 prizes. Other prizes will be five baksets of household products and 10 children’s baskets.”
Baggett said those coming to the event should be ready at 10 a.m. The event will be held at Dogwood Hills Park on north Douglas Avenue in Brewton.
“We will have the Easter Bunny on hand for photos,” Baggett said. “And we’ll be serving a free hotdog lunch, too.”
All hunters, children and adults, should bring a basket to collect their found eggs.
