Mrs. Barbara Wilson “Bobbie Jean” Burnham, 77, of Auburn, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024 in a Opelika nursing facility after a brief illness.
She was a native and long time resident of Brewton, before moving to Opelika. Mrs. Burnham was a former member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, a member of the Purpose Baptist Church in Opelika, where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a 1965 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed family reunions, cooking, and growing flowers. Bobbie Jean supported her husband and enjoyed raising her sons.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Mike Burnham of Opelika; three sons, Tim Burnham of Lafayette, Toby (Leah) Burnham of Tallassee and Tony (Toni) Burnham of Brewton; two brothers, Donnie (Velma) Wilson of Grand Ridge, Fla., Charles (Joyce) Wilson of Fairhope; one sister, Sue Wilson of Brewton; seven grandchildren, Callie Hughes, Emma (Josh) Epperson, Margaret Ann Burnham, John Burnham, Mary Michael (Joseph) Jones, Molly Burnham, Mitchell Burnham; three great-grandchildren, Grayson, Avery and Laney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Ann Guy Wilson; a grandson, Matthew Burnham; and a brother, Guy Wilson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Burnham and the Rev. Tim Chavers officiating. Interment followed in Zion Hill Cemetery in Brewton.

Betty Jean Rhodes Booth
Brewton

Mrs. Betty Jean Rhodes Booth, 77, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, surrounded by her children after an extended illness.
Mrs. Booth was born in Florala on January 10, 1947, to Daniel and Nancy Rhodes. Mrs. Booth was a long-time resident of Escambia County, but had lived in a long-term care facility for the past several years. Mrs. Booth was of the Christian faith. She retired from Wal-Mart after many years of service. Mrs. Booth was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, cooking, reading, and being with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Pam Prestwood of Ellisville, Miss., and Shellie (David) Carden of Brewton; one son, Shane (Julie) Booth of Flomaton; seven grandchildren, Josh Sellers, Jerad (April) Sellers, Hunter Booth, Alex (Zack) White, Chloe Carden, Alise Carden and Ashtynn Carden; three great-grandchildren Zhane White, Yazzy White, and Ashlynn Sellers.
Mrs. Booth was preceeded in death by her loving husband, Harold Ashton Booth (the love of her life); her parents; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Donnie (Sue) Rhodes, and LeRoyce Rhodes.
Private graveside serves were held Monday, August 5, 2013.

Mrs. Bertie Edna Adkisson Lambeth, 80, of Alco Drive in Brewton, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at her residence after a brief illness.
She was a native and life long resident of Brewton. Mrs. Lambeth was of the Jehovah Witness faith, a graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and was retired from Judy Bond with 25 years of service. She delivered the Mobile Press Register, Pensacola News Journal, and the Montgomery Advertiser.
She is survived by one son, David Lambeth of Houston, Tex.; two daughters, Debra Lambeth and Diane Lambeth, both of Brewton; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Verdie Adkisson Findley and Ruie Wright.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Vernon and Gertrude Blackwell Adkisson; her husband, James Buddy Lambeth; and two brothers, Alton Adkisson and Lamar Adkisson.
Memorial serves will be held at at later date.

Thomas Marion Barrickman
Brrewton

Mr. Thomas Marion Barrickman aka Daddy, Tom Terrific, Popeye, Tom Cat, Clint Eastwood, Ole Buddy, Left Handed Yankee, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 in a Pensacola, Fla., medical facility after a brief illness.
He was born in Castleton, Ind., where he spent his childhood. He entered the Navy in 1961. He was stationed at Whiting Field, married and moved to Brewton.
After being stationed in several places he discharged from the Navy in 1973 and started his career at T.R. Miller Mill Company. He rejoined the Navy as a Seabee and retired from both T.R. Miller Mill and the Navy.
In between that, he was a blessing to his family and friends. If you showed up at his house he was probably mowing the grass. He loved keeping the place neat. He worked hard and was a self taught carpenter, jack and master of all trades. He helped people and will be missed by many.
He is survived by three daughters, Kim (Tim) Williams, Melanie (Lavon) Lindsey and Krista (Don) Reaves; four sisters, Margaret, Becky, Bonnie and Kathy; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Mary Fredrich Barrickman; a son, Wallace Raymon Barrickman; his wife, Laura Barrickman; a brother, David Barrickman; and his grandfather, Marion T. Barrickman.
Memorial services were held Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Union Cemetery in Brewton with Speaker Charles Jackson officiating.

Mary Lee Farish

Ms. Mary Lee Farrish was born March 24, 1961 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman and Anna Mary Farrish in Brewton in Escambia County. She departed this life on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Marie; and her brother, Herman Farrish Jr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories one daughter, Coretta Farrish (Jermaine) of Brewton; two grandchildren, Jernikka Farris and Ronald Williams (Samantha), both of Brewton; five great-grandchidlren, Malaysia Smith, Izaiah Fountain, MaKinsley Williams, Remy Farrish and Kashton Montgomery, all of Brewton; one sister, Linda Craig of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Vince Farrish (Tameka) of Brewton; one aunt, Perlie Mae Ruffin of Brewton; a special friend and companion, Raymond Jackson of Brewton; one god-sister, Carolyn Lisa Crook (David) of Brewton; one god-daughter, Regina Tate; two lifelong friends, Tommy Binion and Elnora Smith (Richard), both of Brewton; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. from the Presley-Fluker Funeral Home Chape with Elder Andrew Nearer officiating. Interment followed at Baptist Hill Cemeter in Brewton.
Relatives and friends served as pallbearers with nieces serving as flower bearers.
