Workshop aims at whitetail deer management

If hunting whitetail deer is in your plan for the fall, a special workship will be held this month to help with management of deer you plan to hunt.
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System in Escambia County will be hosting a workshop covering a wide range of topics pertaining to management as well as safety and others.
The workship will be held in the Atmore area at Perdido River Farms at 5535 Poarch Road on Thursday, August 29 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
the evening will be filled with discussions as guests from Auburn University, South Fresh Feed, Universal Seed, Purina, NRCS and others join in the workshop session.
Discussions will be presented on hunter safety and laws, best practices for food plots, NRCS Wildlife Enhancement programs, and Chronic Wasting Disease Sampling Stations.
Dinner will be included in the evenings offerings with door prizes and demonstrations throughout the evening.
