Students weren’t the only ones heading back to school this week. Brewton Police Resource Officers returned to their posts at their respective schools, trained and ready to protect.

Resource officers with the Brewton Police Department recently attended training hosted by the United States Secret Service in order to be prepared to protect students in Brewton City Schools this year.

The training, held in Montgomery, focused on “Enhancing School Safety” and helped prepare officers for their duty.

Attending were Capt. Rodney Brand, Sgt. Heath Madison, and Lt. Bryan Wesley.

Summer break may be over, but the officers are ready to keep students safe.
