It would be one for the books Friday night in East Brewton as the W.S. Neal Eagles notched their first win of the season as the homecoming celebration continued.
The Eagles hosted the Blountstown, Fla., Tigers in a homecoming game that almost didn’t happen.
The Blountstown community was hard hit by Hurricane Helene but the team buckled up and made their way to East Brewton for the Game.
The Eagles took the win with scoring touchdowns by Jabrei Mackey and Shannon Smith thanks to hard work from QB Jarrod Crook.
The Eagles will travel to Satsuma on Friday to take on the Gators. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
For more details from Friday’s game, see the Wednesday edition of The Brewton Standard.
