The W.S. Neal Eagles took to the road Friday night traveling to Satsuma in a region game.
The Eagles battled well in the first half after Satsuma put the first points on the board for the night.
Looking to make a comeback, the Eagles get the ball into the hands of Jaden Ewing who finds the end zone putting the the East Brewton team on the board. A good two-point conversion gave the Eagles the go-ahead score and they take the lead 8-6 in the second quarter.
Also during the second quarter, Satsuma got within field goal range and tried for three to take the lead. A block by Eagle Dakota Dubose prevented the ball from making its mark.
Going into the locker room at half time, the Eagles took the lead with them, 8-6.
The Eagles would keep the lead through the rest of the game allowing 13 points by Satsuma for the rest of the night scoring three more TDs of their own.
The Eagles would make good work of an interception in the fourth quarter and put more points on the board with a TD and two-point conversion putting the Eagles in a big lead, 32 to 19.
Satsuma would manage one more touchdown on the night and a good PAT gave them 26 points on the night.
But that touchdown wouldn’t be enough work for Satsuma and the Eagles held on to their lead throughout the entire game to take the win at the final buzzer.
Final Score: W.S. Neal 32; Satsuma 26
The Eagles will be back at home in East Brewton next Friday as they host the Escambia County High School team. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
