The T.R. Miller Tigers hosted the Excel Panthers for the 2024 Homecoming Game at Brewton Municipal Stadium Friday night.
The Tigers would easily keep their undefeated record in the game putting a “W” in the books by a score of 35 to 0.
The Panthers were unable to find much gain on the field against a tough Tiger defense.
With little time off the board, the Tigers find the end zone for the first time early in the first quarter and would continue their march all night long. A bevy of Tigers would be scoring runners on the night with touchdowns by Terrance Battles, Myles Johnson, Eli Hubbert and J.J. Montgomery, all in the first half of play.
Heading to the locker rooms at the half, the Tigers held a 35-0 lead over the panthers.
The Tigers would keep the score throughout the second half of play against the Panthers allowing some of the TRM younger players to get some experience on the field.
The Panthers struggled all evening against the Tigers who aimed to keep their undefeated record intact. The Tigers would be successful ending the Homecoming game with a win, 35-0.
The Tigers will have an off-week next week as they prepare for a game against Bayside Academy on Oct. 25 on the road. Kick off for that game is set for 7 p.m.
