Two new board members and one returning board member were sworn into their offices Friday for the Escambia County School Board.
Coleman Wallace is returning to his seat as District 7 representative after taking the spot unopposed in the recent election.
Jerry Wilson was named the Dist. 3 School Board member in March when he won the seat from incumbent Mike Edwards. With no democratic opponent in the race, Wilson won at that primary.
Greg Dawkins was sworn in to serve as the new representative for District 2. Dawkins won the election over incumbent Danny Benjamin.
The new and returning members took the oat of office as performed by Escambia County Probate Judge Doug Agerton.
Friends and family of those taking the oath filled the board room Friday afternoon as the men took their positions at the table.
Following the ceremony, each of the new members signed their oaths and declarations for their commitment to the office they now hold. The members joined seated members in carrying out the remainder of the special board meeting.
