Donations, fundraiser set for scholarship fund

Wayne’s Recreation and Community Outreach has begun their fundraising efforts to suppor the Chason Godbolt and ReShena Young Scholarship fund for the year.
Wayne’s Recreation & Community Outreach, is a 501c3 and all contributions are tax deductible.
Because of your generous support in the past, the Chason & ReShena Scholarship Fund was able to help low income, first generation college students, single parent homes, and local High School students attend the college of their dream.
Graduation Year 2025 will mark the third year for presenting the Chason Godbolt & Reshena Young Scholarship. Because of you, this Scholarship Fund totaled donations for Graduations 2023, 2024 for $2,900!
As part of the Fall Fundrasier, the group will be offering plates on Saturday, Dec. 7. Dinners are $12 and will include two meats, two sides and bread. Plates with one meat are $10 each and are suggested for children through fourth grade.
Dinners and plates may be picked up at the Wayne’s Outreach Memorial Park at 720 Sellers Street, the first street past the J.L. Fisher Center.
Pre-Order or Dine-In Fundraiser Plates (2 meats, 2 sides, bread) – Menu: Grilled Ribs, Grilled andBaked Chicken; Sides: Southern Collard Greens, Corn, Green Lima Beans, Spaghetti Salad, Baked Beans, Cornbread. Sold at the Park: Drinks, Desserts, Hotdogs, and Sandwiches.
You May Drive-Thru to pick up orders or come and dine at the park and enjoy the fun fellowship!
A $100 Gas Card fundrasier will also be held beginning Saturday through Jan. 11, 2025 with tickets $5 each.
