Our Opinion: ‘Don't drink and drive' is good advice

Just don't do it. It's such simple advice. Don't drink and drive. Don't get into a situation where you might; don't think you can handle it; don't hand the keys to someone who's had just as much as you have.
The best case scenario is a DUI that ruins your reputation and costs you money, time in jail and your license.
The worst scenario is an accident that results in your death or someone else's.
Holidays like New Year's Eve always lead to problems on the road. State troopers can even predict, based on previous years, how many accidents and fatalities they will encounter on Alabama roads over weekends like this one.
They always hope they are wrong.
