Mrs. Clara Mae Jefferson Packer, 77, died recently. She was a native of Brewton and a resident of Pensacola. She attended Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church in Brewton and Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Pensacola. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bill Packer, and a son, James Packer.
She is survived by a son, Roger L. (Corlisa) Page Sr.; a daughter, Dorothy L. Davis; her caretakers, Richard and Margaret Betts of Brewton; 11 grandchildren, Terrence, Antheia, Sanders, Marie, Angela (Charles), LaPorsha, Roger II, Kristie, Kenny, Summer and Autumn; 29 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pensacola with Presley Fluker Funeral Home directing.
