Mr. Burns Gladden Cain, 76, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, in a Mobile medical facility after an extended illness. He was a native of Escambia County and a long time resident of Range. He was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Church and a retired logging contractor. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Phyllis Cain Miller; three brothers, Chester Cain, Dennis Earl Cain and Ray Cain; and four sisters, Valerie Cain, Barbara Ruth Cain, Pearline McCall and Esther Stacey.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Agnes Edwards Cain of Range; a daughter, Renee Odom of Range; a brother, Leo Cain of Castleberry; four sisters, Wilma Chavers, Betty Faye Madden, Eula Mae Pugh and Ophelia Chavers; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. at Gospel Lighthouse Church with the Rev. Larry Janes and Pastor Danny Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Hartwood Cemetery in Range with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
