No decision on WSN
softball game at Florala
W.S. Neal's softball game at Florala Friday ended with no decision.
The Lady Blue Eagles had a 13-12 lead after four and one-half innings when play was stopped due to darkness.
Games must last at least five innings in order to be official or four and one-half innings if the home team is ahead. Games may end on the 15-run rule after three or four innings.
No decision has been made as to whether or not play will be resumed when Florala visits W.S. Neal on March 29.
The Lady Blue Eagles (1-3) are off until Friday when they play at Hillcrest-Evergreen. Game time is 4 p.m.
Only one game Friday
for WSN at Hillcrest
The W.S. Neal Blue Eagles baseball team will play only one game when they visit Hillcrest-Evergreen Friday. Original schedules called for a doubleheader. The original starting time of 4 p.m. remains the same.
The teams will play a doubleheader when they hook up again at W.S. Neal on Apr. 27. The second game of that date will be used as a Class 4A Area 2 tiebreaker.
Registration continues
for Brewton Babe Ruth
The Brewton Babe Ruth League will continue registration for the upcoming season Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the T.R. Miller Fieldhouse.
Registration cost is $10. Players should bring a copy of their birth certificate at the time of registration. The league is for players age 13-15.
