Area churches are once again coming together to present a series of services to celebrate Holy Week this week.
Ron Headley, who has led the efforts to coordinate the services, said the services will follow the same schedule as in previous Holy Week schedules.
Services will begin each day at noon, followed by lunch at each location, Headley said.
A nominal donation will be taken for the meal with proceeds to benefit Habitat for Humanity, Headley said.
Services are set to kick off on Monday at noon at St. Maurice Catholic Church, located at 202 East Jackson St. The Rev. John Mathieu of the First Presbyterian Church will deliver the message for the day.
Tuesday services will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Belleville Avenue with the Rev. Ed Glaize presenting the message. Glaize is the pastor of First United Methodist Church.
Wednesday services will be held at St. Stephens Episcopal Church on 1510 Escambia Ave. with the Rev. Adrian Cook delivering the Holy Wednesday message. Cook is the pastor of St. Maurice Catholic Church.
Maundy Thursday services will be held at First Baptist Church of Brewton on Belleville Avenue with the Rev. Gary Baldwin delivering the message. Baldwin is the pastor of St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
Good Friday services will be held at First United Methodist Church on Belleville Avenue with the Rev. Jack Fitts delivering the message. Fitts is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Brewton.
The services are open to the public.
