The Mariners pulled into a tie with the Cardinals for first place in the Brewton Little League Age 9-10 division Monday, as they drilled the Cardinals 21-3. Both teams are now 5-2 in league play.
The Royals overcame a nine-run deficit to get their first league win of the season, as they downed the Braves 14-11. The Royals are now 1-6 in league play, while the Braves fell to 3-4.
The Astros also picked up their first league win of the season in the Age 11-12 division Monday, as they beat the Rangers 5-2. Both teams are now 1-3 in league play.
The Brewton Age 11-12 division leaders, the Tigers, picked up a 6-4 win over the East Brewton Mets in interleague play Monday. The Tigers are 6-2 overall.
Age 9-10
Mariners 21, Cardinals 3
MARINERS: Walker Harris had three singles and scored four runs. Kellyn Winn had a double and scored three runs. Dylan Etheridge had three singles and scored three runs. James Peach had two singles and scored four runs. Tripp Floyd scored three runs. Christian Mancil had two singles, a double and scored two runs. Carter Frezell had two singles and scored two runs. Ethan Bollenbacher had a single and a double.
CARDINALS: Jones Manning had a triple and scored two runs. Lowell Swain had a single. Treylan Watson scored a run.
