‘Kick It At The Creek’ set for Thursday

Brewton area residents will have a chance to kick back and relax this Thursday evening with a special event set at Burnt Corn Creek Park.
The party is being called “Kick It At The Creek” by organizers who are promising a fun, family-friendly evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The event is being planned by The City of Brewton in partnership with the Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce. Sponsors for the event are Bonehead Boots, David’s Catfish House, The L House and Weaver’s Apparel and Fine Jewelry.
Kicking off the evening will be a free concert by Michael McGilvary. The country-style artist promises music that will appeal to a wide variety of music lovers. Dubbing himself as a singer for the working man, MicGilvary will be making his first appearance in Brewton at the Thursday event.
Guests are invited to bring blankets or lawnchairs to relax and enjoy the musical concert.
In addition to the concert, guests will have a chance to chow down on crawfish prepared especially for the event. Crawfish will be available for $10 per flat. Softdrinks will also be available at the event according to organizers.
Commemorative t-shirts are already available for $10 each while supplies last and are available at the Chamber offices inside Brewton City Hall on Douglas Avenue and will be available at the event.
