The Twins and Nationals continued to separate themselves from the rest of the pack in the Brewton Babe Ruth League with wins Thursday.
The league-leading Twins ran their record to 6-0 with a 6-4 win over the Giants, while the Nationals improved to 6-2 with a 9-5 win over the Marlins. The Twins and Nationals are currently the only teams with a winning record.
Nationals 9, Marlins 5
NATIONALS: Robert Knowles allowed three runs on three hits with a pair of strikeouts in three innings of relief to get the win. Hayden Cooper scored two runs. Joseph Strength had a single, a triple and scored three runs. Knowles had two singles, a triple and scored two runs. Nick Moore had a double. Josh Palmer had two singles and scored a run. Hunter Franklin had two singles. Rickey Curry had a single. Devlin Crosby had a triple and scored a run.
MARLINS: Stephen Warren had two singles, a homerun and scored two runs. Wil Riggs had a double and scored a run. Dylan Bell had two singles and scored a run. Bryant Jernigan had a single and scored a run. Spencer Waldrep had two singles. Parker Reiss had a single.

TWINS: Conner Denton allowed one run on four hits with four strikeouts in three innings of relief to get the win. Lane Cross had two singles. Kameron Winn and Darrion Salter scored a run. Denton had a single and scored a run. Dylan Smith had three singles and scored two runs. Bradley Brown had a single. Jaren Jackson had a double and scored a run.
GIANTS: Monterious Culliver had two singles, a homerun and scored two runs. Louis Miller had two singles and scored a run. Keith Bradley, Harrison Horton and Cody Bradley had a single. Derek Smith scored a run.
