Hubert ‘Pete’ Burnette Wall Sr.

Mr. Hubert “Pete” Burnette Wall Sr., 90, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at his East Brewton residence. He was born in Jay, Fla., and has been a resident of East Brewton since 1946. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired from St. Regis Paper Company after 35 years of service. He attended Golden Memorial Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin James Wall and Ethel Inez Sawyer Wall; a stepmother, Onie Barnes Wall; two brothers, Jody Wall and Dewight Wall; two sisters, Jeanette Jones and Muriel Golden.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mrs. Frances Golden Wall of East Brewton; two sons, Bernie (Anita) Wall of Brewton, and Tim (Donna) Wall of Grayson, Ga.; one daughter, Elaine Wall (Mickey) Baker of Dublin, Ga.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Golden Memorial Holiness Church with Brother Andy Boutwell officiating. Interment followed in Golden Memorial Holiness Church Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements..
Pallbearers were Ricky Hendricks, Greg Carter, Billy Golden, David Coffey, Mark Wall, Rush Wall, David Walther and Mickey Baker.
