Mrs. Eunice K. Stokes, 77, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, in Byrneville. She was a native and lifelong resident of Byrneville. She attended the Baptist church and was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie L. Stokes; and a grandson, Richard Findley.
She is survived by three sons, Fred E. (Renee) Stokes of Pensacola, Fla., Larry W. (Teresa) Stokes of Byrneville, and Dick (Janie) Stokes of Florala; two daughters, Marilyn E. Findley and Brenda S. (David) Yarter, both of Byrneville; 15 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bub (Claudine) Kimmons of Flomaton and a brother-in-law, Frank Lesley of Byrneville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, at 2 p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Kimmons officiating. Burial followed at Byrneville Cemetery with Petty Eastside Chapel directing.
