Thursday afternoon travelers in Brewton and East Brewton may have noticed WKRG Channel Five van around the area.
Reporter Jere Hough was in the area Thursday to conduct preliminary production material in anticipation of an official visit with the city next week.
According to information provided by the Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce, reporters will be in Brewton July 27 to broadcast from the Brewton City Park.
The live broadcast is scheduled to take place from 6 to 6:30 p.m. at the downtown location.
Reporters are expected to discuss many aspects of Brewton including history and points of interest around town.
The event will be open to the public and anyone interested in being in the park for the broadcast is welcome to attend.
