An investigation is still under way in an incident that sent one person to the hospital Friday afternoon from Frit Car Inc. on U.S. 31 in Brewton.
Capt. Randy Nicholson said Brewton police officers responded to a call around 3 p.m.
Nicholson said police identified the suspected perpetrator, but no arrests were made at the time of the incident. He would not publicly identify the suspect.
Officials at Frit Car Inc. could not comment. &#8220The incident is still under investigation,” said Carla Carpenter, human resources manager. &#8220Until that investigation is complete, there is really nothing more to tell.”
The Escambia County Grand Jury is in session this week at the Escambia County Courthouse. Depending upon findings of the grand jury, indictments in several cases are expected late this week, officials said.
