Opp romps TRM and WSN baseball Tuesday

The Opp Bobcats baseball team won their Spring Break tournament for the first time going 3-0 defeating T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal on Tuesday evening.
Opp got on the board in the bottom of the second inning when Dakota King singled and scored the first run of the game. The Bobcats followed up with four more runs in the third inning. The first four Opp batters all crossed the plate in the fourth as the Bobcats led 5-0 after three.
T.R. Miller’s lone run of the game came in the fourth inning. Kyle Davis doubled in Drew Williamson in the top of the fourth inning for the Tigers only run of the ballgame.
Opp went on to win the game 11-1 and the tournament after winning all three of their games and allowing the least run scored.
No other stats or game information for T.R. Miller was known as of press time.
T.R. Miller fell to 13-7 overall this season with the loss.
Opp 22, W.S. Neal 5
Against Opp in their first game of the tournament Tuesday, W.S. Neal took a 22-5 loss to fall to 12-2 this season.
Opp held W.S. Neal to one run in the second inning and three in the fourth while Opp romped the Eagles with five runs in the first, one in the second, sixth in the third and 10 in the fifth to get the 17-run win.
Tyler Joyner had a hit in the loss while Jared Cooper had two. Mike Williams, Brandon Carmichael and Derrick Barton all had hits.
