TRM JV softball defeates WSN and JUB

T.R. Miller’s JV softball team improved their winning streak to eight games Monday at home as they swept J.U. Blacksher and W.S. Neal. T.R. Miller defeated J.U. Blacksher 8-4 and W.S. Neal 11-1 to move to 10-1 this season.
Against J.U. Blacksher in game one, T.R. Miller scored two runs each in the first and third innings and added four in the second while holding the Lady Bulldogs to two runs each in the first and second inning.
Steely Ruzic and Taylor Austin pitched in the win for the Lady Tigers. The duo went three innings and allowed three hits, four runs, one earned, walked two and struck out one.
At the plate, Mallori Floyd went 1-for-1 with a triple and one RBI to lead the Lady Tigers. Grace Ruzic was 1-for-1 with one RBI and Myra Reiss had one RBI. Anna Kate Brittain went 1-for-2 while Mary Madison Brown was 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Morgan Longmire went 2-for-2 with one RBI while Steely Ruzic was 1-for-1. Madison Douglas went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Against W.S. Neal, Reiss and Kaleigh Folsom pitched a no-hitter to lead the Lady Tigers to the 11-1 win over the Lady Eagles.
Reiss and Folsom went three innings and allowed no hits, one run, none earned, walked one and struck out three.
W.S. Neal’s lone run came in the third inning while T.R. Miller scored seven in the first and four in the second to get the 10-run win.
Grace Ruzic had one RBI while Reiss was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Alexis King had one RBI, Floyd was 1-for-1, Folsom was 1-for-1 with one RBI along with Longmire while Steely Ruzic was 1-for-1.
Erin Hartsel pitched for W.S. Neal and went two innings and allowed five hits, 11 runs, six earned, walked four and struck out one.
