The Flomaton Medical Center and D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital are pleased to announce the addition of a new physician – but a familiar face in Brewton – to the Flomaton medical community. Anna Hill Fountain, M.D,. began her practice as a member of the Flomaton Medical Center on Aug. 4. An open house is scheduled for Thurs., Aug. 21, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
“Dr. Fountain is a great addition to the area’s medical community,” said Stacy Hines, administrator for the Flomaton Medical Center. “We are excited that Dr. Fountain has decided to relocate to her hometown of Flomaton. “
Dr. Fountain joins the Flomaton Medical Center after recently serving patients in the Tampa, Fla., area with The University of South Florida and the Moffitt Cancer Center. Prior to practicing in the Tampa, Fla., area, Dr. Fountain attended the University of Alabama and Jefferson Davis Community College in Brewton.
Dr. Fountain earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama and completed her Internal Medicine residency from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla.
In addition to her medical experience, she is also a veteran of the Army National Guard where she served actively for 10 years. She is also in the U.S. Army Reserve.
“I am happy we were able to bring Dr. Fountain home,” Chris Griffin, administrator at D.W. McMillan said. “She will add experience and knowledge to our medical community and will get the opportunity to serve patients from the area in which she was raised.
“We hope that everyone will welcome her on Thursday to our community and help her feel at home,” he said.
New patients will be able to schedule an appointment by contacting the Flomaton Medical Center at (251)-296-2456.
