It’s a sign of the times! Brewton Mayor Yank Lovelace announced Monday that the city would be seeking proposals from graphic artists in the region for new entrance/gateway signage for the city.
“We are looking for something distinctive that reflects our unique city and its heritage,” Lovelace said, “and I believe there are creative people who can help us find the design we need.”
Those interested in submitting proposals can email designs to cbaggett@cityofbrewton.org or hand deliver drawings to city hall by 5 p.m. on Dec. 12. Designs should specify building materials proposed as well as a concept drawing of the finished signage.
The winning entry will earn the designer $500.
