Escambia County ranked in the top 10 counties in the state in which to obtain a mortgage.
The study, which was released by SmartAsset, ranked the counties on the likelihood of closing a mortgage application, or its origination rate; the low average cost of ownership after five years and low property taxes.
Escambia came in eighth.
