Mr. Daniel Edward “Buddy” Hodge, 87, of Crook Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and long time resident of Castleberry before moving to Brewton. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was retired from the City of East Brewton in the maintenance department.
He is survived by three brothers, Hamilton (Montine) Hodge of Hazelhurst, Ga., and Lavon (Sue) Hodge and Lamar (Linda) Hodge, both of Brewton; two sisters, Mattie Bell Lynch and Evelyn Bates, both of East Brewton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Byrnes Pitts, the Rev. Joe Johnson, and the Rev. Royce Beasley officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
