Neal basketball swept by Monroe County

On Tues., the W.S. Neal JV, girls and boys varsity basketball teams suffered losses against the Monroe County Tigers.
WSN B-team 24, Monroe County 37
The game was close in the first half with Neal leading Monroe County 13-12. The third quarter proved the difference in the game with Monroe County outscoring Neal 16-4.
Leading Neal in scoring was Marvin Maddox with nine points and Rickey Samuel with four points.
The WSN B-team is 1-1 this season.
The B-team will next play on Dec. 8 at home against Pensacola Christian at 6 p.m.
WSN Lady Eagles 26, Monroe County 32
WSN would get out to a hot start outscoring Monroe County 10-4. Monroe County would finish strong against WSN, outscoring the Lady Eagles 16-4 to win the game.
Leading WSN were Keke Floyd with 14 points, four rebounds and three steals; Anijah Stewart with seven points and one rebound; and Marishia Fraser with five points, four rebounds and one steal.
The Lady Eagles are 1-3 this season.
The Lady Eagles will next play on Dec. 8 at home against Pensacola Catholic at 4:30 p.m.
WSN Eagles 51, Monroe County 74
Monroe County would have the WSN varsity boy’s number again after defeating the Eagles earlier this season by a 22-point margin. WSN was outscored in each quarter. In the fourth WSN was outscored 26-11.
Leading the Eagles were Tyshawn Davis with 21 points, three rebounds and one block; and Jacobey Hawthorne with 10 points and one steal.
The Eagles are 2-2 this season.
WSN varsity boys will be in action tomorrow, Dec. 4 at 4:30 p.m. in the Bayside Tournament.
