Frances Diane McDougald, 62, of Geneva, passed away on Nov. 20, 2015.
Services were held on Dec. 3, with burial following in the Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harlan McDougald; and brother, Dennis McDougald.
She is survived by her mother, Frances McDougald of Geneva; sister-in-law; one niece; one nephew and three great nieces, all of Troy.
She was employed for 25 years by the Escambia County Board of Education as a math teacher at W.S. Neal High School in East Brewton.
Carol Kay Winstead

Carol Kay Turnbow Winstead, 64, of Lowery Landing Road Brewton, passed away Fri., Dec. 11, 2015, in a Pensacola hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held on Mon;, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Greer officiating. Interment followed in Weaver Cemetery Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
She was a native of Drew, Miss., and a long time resident of Brewton. She attended the Divine Temple Church and the New Beginnings Church, She attended T.R. Miller High School and was a former employee of D.W. McMillan Hospital, the Hop N Shop in the Appleton Community and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Wade (Sarju Petal) Winstead of Brewton; two daughters, Melanie (Brian) Jett and Angie Crutchfield, both of Brewton; three brothers, Mickey (Dorothy) Turnbow of Prattville, Ronald Turnbow of Mississippi and Kenny (Robert) Turnbow of Pensacola; a sister, Gayle Stewart of Brewton; seven grandchildren, Brett Gibson, Brooks Crutchfield, Tyler Crutchfield, Brianna Jett, Braxton Winstead, Kishan Petal, Dillian Crutchfield; and a special friend, Ferrell Otts.

Brenda Kay Chavers Boutwell, 59, of Jernigan Road Brewton, passed away Fri., Dec. 11, 2015, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held today, Wed., Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Boutwell-Lambeth Cemetery in Flomaton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
She was a native and life long resident of Brewton. She attended Beulah Holiness Church and Shady Grove Holiness Church. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener.
She is survived by her husband, Tex Boutwell of Brewton; son, Michael Boutwell of Brewton; sister, Pam Watson of Brewton; granddaughter, Scarlett Boutwell of Flomaton; and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by parents, James and Nellie Chavers.

Ruby Joyce Knowles Haynes, 70. of Brewton, passed away on Tues., Dec. 8, 2015, in Pensacola, Fla.
Graveside services were held Tues., Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. at Halls Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Flomaton, with Pastor Jerry Morris officiating and Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
She was born in Mobile and resided in Brewton since 1979 coming from Bayou La Batre, La. She was a homemaker and a member of Halls Creek Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Haynes Sr; two sons, Howard Haynes Jr. and Arthur David Haynes; parents, Austin and Gertie Hayes Haynes; and a grandson and a nephew.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Wayne Haynes of Brewton; two brothers, Charles Ray ‘Chuck’ Knowles of Virginia and Larry (Belinda) Knowles of Brewton; and a sister, Sarah Knowles Boutwell of Flomaton; grandchildren, Ashley Haynes, Amberly Haynes, Mykala Haynes, David ‘Man’ Haynes and David ‘Jake’ Haynes.

Annie Lee Jackson

Annie Lee Jackson, 77, of Flomaton, passed away on Mon., Dec. 7, 2015, in Auburn.
Funeral services were held on Thurs., Dec. 10, at First Baptist Church of Flomaton at 10 a.m. with Dr. Jerry Keese and the Rev. Dustin Stockstill officiating.
Following services at First Baptist Church of Flomaton, a visitation was held at Elam Baptist Church in Thomasville, from 2 to 3 p.m. with a graveside service following.
Interment followed in Elam Baptist Church Cemetery, Thomasville.
She was a native of Thomasville, and a resident of the Flomaton community for 46 years coming from Orrville, Ala.
During her time as a teacher for the Escambia County Alabama School System at Flomaton High School, she was a sponsor of the Flomaton High School varsity cheerleaders for 26 years and a sponsor of the Flomaton High School Beta Club.
She was also a member of the Flomaton Public Library Board, Railroad Museum, Brewton Arts Council, Retired Teachers Association and served as an officer with the Flomaton Research Club. She also assisted with the Academic All Stars.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Flomaton, the church choir and she served as AWANA secretary and church clerk.
She is survived by ason, Milton (Cathy) Jackson of Athens, Ala.; a daughter, Beverly (Kent) Smith of Auburn; brothers, Napoleon P. Reid of Thomasville, and Sidney M. Reid of Butler; and four grandchildren, Kelly C. Jackson, Alyssa Smith, Kristen Smith and Matt (Heather Brown) Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Flomaton Children’s Ministry (AWANA), Flomaton Public Library, or Lindsay Lane Baptist Church Carpenters for Christ.

James ‘Jim’ Hartley Lambeth

James “Jim” Hartley Lambeth, 93, of Flomaton, AL., passed away Fri., Dec. 4, 2015, in a Jay, Fla. assisted living facility after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Mon., Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Interment followed with full military honors in Catawba Springs Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Born to Charlie and Callie Boutwell Lambeth May 9,1922, he was a native and former resident of Flomaton, before moving to Jay, three years ago. He was a member of the Catawba Springs Baptist Church and attended McCall School in the 1930s.
He was a WWII Veteran who served in the Arm Air Corp during WWII. He was at Normandy and fought in the European theater. He met his bride and the love of his life, Patricia Ford, while stationed in England in 1943. They married in 1945 and were married 58 years before her passing in 2003.
After proudly serving his country in the Air Force for 21 years, he retired and was a self-employed automobile mechanic.
He is survived by three sons, Glenn (Liz) Lambeth of Stockton, Malcolm Fox (Nan Lewis) of Flint, Wales, and Steve (Gail) Lambeth of Birmingham; three daughters, Evelyn (Glenn) McFadden of Brewton, Betty Ann (Johnny) Folsom of Tifton, Ga.. and Doreen (Rick) Freeman of Henager, Ala.; daughters-in-law, Betty Wong Lambeth of Union Grove, Ken., Lynn Lambeth of Flomaton, Jane Lambeth of Hawaii and Myone Wedlin; a brother. Charles C. Lambeth of Flomaton; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ford Lambeth; and a son, Leon Terral Lambeth.

Robert Charles Merchant
Clayton, Ala.
Robert Charles Merchant, 79, of Clayton and formerly of Brewton passed away on Tues., Dec. 8, 2015, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held Thurs., Dec. 10, at Kent Funeral Home Chapel in Clayton. Bro. Bob Cox officiated and burial followed in the Clayton Cemetery with Kent Funeral Home directing.
Born Sept. 30, 1936 in Brewton, he was the son of the late James Carr and Melissie Harris Merchant. He had lived in Clayton since the early 1980s. He worked for T.R. Miller Company. He moved to Clayton when he was employed by Louisiana Pacific Co. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and outdoors and was formerly a member of the Clayton Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Merchant of Clayton; two sons, James (Amanthia) Merchant of Brewton and Jim (Shelley) Parks of Clio; five daughters, Gina (Kenny) Steele of Brewton, Debbie Moore and Vickey Caraway, both of Eufaula, Lisa (Steve) White of Georgia, and Susan (Ricky) McCall of Skipperville; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ricky McCall, Bobby Carpenter, Russell White, Keith Gutherie, John Canfield and John Green.
Mark Edward Cain

Mark Edward Cain, 53, of Brewton passed away on Dec. 11, 2015.
A memorial service will be held with family and friends on Sat., Dec. 18, at 1 p.m. out of his home in Appleton.
He is survived by his three children, Angela (Anthony) Phillips of Andalusia, Tameeka (Steven) Briggs of East Brewton and Lori (Connor) Griggs of Brewton; sister, Cindy Cain of Brewton; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and many more family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyd and Mary Cain of Baker.
Paula Hope Whittle

Memorial services will be held for Paula Hope Whittle Thurs., Dec. 17, 2015, at 2:05 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla., with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
She was a native of Brewton, and a former resident of Pensacola. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith, She attended T.R. Miller High School and Escambia High School in Pensacola. She was a U.S. Navy veteran and a homemaker.
She is survived by her mother, Marie (Fred) Haley of Ariz.; a brother, Charles Whittle of Birmingham; a sister, June (Larry) Padgett of Brewton; and step-brothers, Michael Haley of Alvin, Texas, and John Haley of Victorville, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Cecil Whittle.
Wendell Carl Eye

Wendell Carl Eye, 58, of Hwy. 29 Brewton, passed away Mon., Dec. 14, 2015, at his residence after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held today, Wed., Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Farley officiating. Interment will follow in Hoomes Family Cemetery, Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
He was a native of Alliance, Ohio, and a former resident of Evergreen, before moving to Brewton. He was of the Baptist faith. He attended schools in Evergreen and Pensacola, Fla., and was a former log truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Jones Eye of Brewton; three daughters, Amanda (Beau Liles) Eye of Ashford and Erica (Michael) Carraway and Wendy Eye, both of Brewton; four sisters, Carol Sheffield of Evergreen, Goldie Hurley of Pace, Fla., Pam Matthews of Navarre, Fla. and Angel Watson of Dothan; and three grandchildren, Zoie Eye, Madison Eads and Lakelyn Carraway.
