Lacey Springs
Mrs. Marie Octavia Peavy, 69, of Lacey Springs, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in a Huntsville hospital after a brief illness. She was a native and former resident of Brewton, and a former resident of Mobile and Castleberry before moving to Lacey Springs. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, James Wayne (Rhonda) Jordan of Lacey Springs; two daughters, Betty Jean (Homer) Andrews and Lydia Jordan, both of Mobile; one brother, Manford Lloyd (Connie) Peavy of Springfield, Ill.; a sister, Virginia (Slim H.J.) Jackson of Castleberry; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Greer officiating. Burial followed at Spear Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
