The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers picked up a dominating win over Red Level Tues., winning 69-6 to advance against Andalusia. The TRM boys fell to the Andalusia Bulldogs 43-56.

TRM girls 69, Red Level 6

The Lady Tigers scored 19 points in the first quarter, 23 points in the second and 20 points in the third to propel them to their first win in the tournament.

Leading Miller was Janazsia Nettles with five steals to go along with her game high 21 points.

The Lady Tigers advance to play today, Dec. 30 versus Andalusia at 4:30 p.m.

 

TRM boys 43, Andalusia 56

The Bulldogs got ahead of the Tigers early, outscoring TRM 14-7 in the first quarter. At halftime Andalusia led Miller 29-21. TRM would have a dismal third scoring the ball, posting only four points compared to Andalusia’s 13.

The Tigers would have their best quarter in the fourth after outscoring the Bulldogs 18-14, but it would not be enough to mount a comeback.

Leading TRM was Chardian Johnson with 18 points and Bryce Brown with 14 points.

The Tigers will face Pike County today, Dec. 30 at noon.
