Daisy Mae Boutwell Colvin

Daisy Mae Boutwell Colvin, 65, of Van Hoosen Road Flomaton, passed away Wed., Jan. 7, 2016, in a Jay, Fla., medical facility after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Sat., Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral home with the Rev. Bo Bell and the Rev. Malcolm Harrelson officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
She was a native of Perdido and a life long resident of Flomaton. She was a member of New Beginnings Church. She attended schools in Alabama and Florida, was a former employee of B & E Mobile Home Movers and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Colvin of Flomaton; two sons, Billy Dwayne Colvin of McCall, Ala. and Steven Erick Colvin of Flomaton; daughter, Felicia Reene Perdue of Pensacola; two brothers, Chester Boutwell of Perdido and William Cecil Boutwell of Portland, Ore.; four sisters, Nancy Lee Barbarow of Perdido, Lucille Wright of Evergreen, Shirley Barlie of Mobile and Christine Long of Canoe, Ala.; and four grandchildren, Turner Colvin, Tyler Colvin, Kadahlyn Salter and Colton Salter.

Andrew ‘Andy’ Lamar Jackson
Evergreen
Andrew Lamar “Andy” Jackson, 68, of Montesano Avenue, Evergreen, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 8, 2016, at an Evergreen medical facility after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held on Mon., Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Greer officiating. Interment was held at 3 p.m. in Choctaw Corner Cemetery Thomasville, Ala. with Williams Memorial Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
He was a 1966 graduate of Evergreen High School and later graduated from Jeff State Mortuary College in Birmingham, Ala. He was in the funeral service industry for over 50 years and his calling was comforting the mourning families. Heaven has gained a new comedic angel.
He is survived by his loving wife Lee Parker of Evergreen; daughter, Andrea Wyatt; grandchildren, Noah and Katie of Mountainbrook; brother and sister-in-law Allen and Mary Jackson of Sky Valley, Ga.; a host of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends Larry Yeargen, Fred Kirby, Bill Crawford Ray Hill and Wes Wyatt.

John Robert ‘Bob’ Martin
Brewton
John Robert “Bob” Martin, 84, of Brewton, passed away Wed., Jan. 6, 2016, in a Mobile hospital.
Funeral services were held on Sun., Jan. 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Catawba Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Yuhasz and the Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Interment followed in Catawba Cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews, Les Martin, Jim Martin, Cosby Martin, Ben Martin, Boyd Martin and Bill West.
Honorary pallbearers were Phillip West, Steve West and John West.
He was a native and life long resident of Brewton. He graduated from Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University) in 1953. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He owned and operated Keego Clay Products Inc. for a number of years.
He was a member of Catawba Springs Baptist Church, where he has served as treasurer for the past 56 years, and has also served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, June Martin of Brewton; three sons, Robert Burch Martin of Navarre, Fla., James Caldwell (April) Martin of Auburn and Blake Thomas Martin of Brewton; one daughter, Charlotte Martin (Cavin) Cawthon of Lilburn, Ga.; two sisters, Katherine Martin of Greenwood, S.C., and Florence West of Destin, Fla.; and five grandchildren, John Robert Cawthon, Christian Cawthon, Preston Cawthon, Morgan Martin and Haydan Martin.
Donations in his memory can be made to the Catawba Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.

Bobby Louis Cosey
Brewton
Bobby Louis Cosey, 81, passed away Sat., Jan. 9, 2016, at his Brewton residence.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tues., Jan. 12 from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Boutwell and the Rev. Donnis Bowman officiating. Interment with military honors followed in Weaver Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Burnham, Larry Watson, Isaac Watson, Ronnie Jackson, Doug Pouncey and Preston Phillips.
He was born in Foshee, Ala., and been a life long resident of the Brewton area. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and worked as a chemical operator for Monsanto in Pensacola for a number of years. He was of the Holiness faith.
He is survived by his wife, Artie Bell Cosey of Brewton; and one son, Claude Cosey of Brewton.

Anne Ruth Jackson Drakeford
Brewton
Anne Ruth Jackson Drakeford was born on Sept. 1, 1939 to the union of Ethel Mae and Thomas Jackson in Brewton. She was the fifth child of eight born to this union.
At an early age she united with the Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Late in life she united with Second Shady Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rodney Lindsey where she remained until her death.
As a child she attended Southern Normal High School. After her high school graduation, she attended college and received her degree in cosmetology.
She married Joseph Lewis Drakeford and from this union they had two daughters, Qualamina and Felicia Drakeford. Later in life, the family moved to Jersey City, N.J., where they resided for 14 years. She worked at the New York Giants Stadium for many years.
They later relocated back to Brewton where she worked as a hairstylist and a supervisor of Sheltex for many years. She was a people person that loved everybody but she especially loved her family and extended family.
Funeral services were held Sat., Jan. 9, 2016 at 1 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Mae; father, Thomas; and two brothers, Wynton and Sammy Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories two daughters, Qualamina and Felicia, both of Brewton; two godchildren, Willie (Felicia) Thomas of Cadova, Tenn., and Monique Legette of Gadsden, Ga.; a step-daughter, Lillian Vivians of Mobile; an extended daughter, Cindy (Greg) of Brewton; two brothers, William (Evelyn) and Leo (Mary Jane) both of Brewton; three sisters, Lillian Hines of Pittsburgh, Pa., Arlen (late Marshall) Lovelace of Omaha, Neb., and Mattie Lockman of Brewton; six grandchildren, Parthenie Drakeford, Lewis (Chelsea) Drakeford, Ieshia Drakeford, Jameiah Drakeford and Laquisha Drakeford, all of Brewton, and Tanaisha Jones of Columbus, Ga.; Five great-grandchildren, Keyshawn Ball, Janiya Watson, Zyon Drakeford, Zahri Smith and Monroe Drakeford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Randall Eugene ‘Randy’ Johns
Brewton
Randall Eugene “Randy” Johns, 60, passed away on Wed., Jan. 6, 2016, at his Brewton residence.
Funeral services were held on Sat., Jan. 9, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Watts officiating. Interment followed in Ridge Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Miles Ball, Rusty Andrews, Brian Browder, Kevin Browder, Joe Reid and Bernard Blackwell.
He was a native and life long resident of Brewton. He was a member of the W.S. Neal High School class of 1973, and worked as a supervisor at Georgia Pacific.
He was a past fire chief with the Ridge Road Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of East Brewton First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debra Ann Long Johns of Brewton; his parents, Sam and Dot Johns of Brewton; a son, David Johns of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; daughter, Keri (Benjamin) Reid of Century; brother, Ronald (Rita) Johns of Gautier, Miss.; and five grandchildren, Hunter Holliman, Violet Holliman, Carmen Reid, Jacob Reid and Sam Reid.
