A Milton, Fla., woman has died following an early Monday morning traffic accident in Conecuh County.

The crash, which occurred at the 23-mile marker on Ala. Hwy. 41 16 miles north of Brewton, stalled traffic for nearly an hour for those heading into Brewton.

Alabama State Trooper spokesman Jamie Maloy said the accident occurred at 5:50 a.m. and claimed the life of 34-year-old Jennifer Nicolle Owen.

Owen died when the 2001 Toyota she was driving collided with a 2004 Cadillac, Maloy said. Occupants of the Cadillac were not identified.

No other details were released as the accident remains under investigation.
