The W.S. Neal Blue Eagles never trailed after scoring two runs in the second inning on a passed ball.
Derrick Barton went 2-3 at the plate, sparking Neal to a 7-4 victory in seven innings over Flomaton on Tuesday.
Barton singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.
Neal tacked on another four runs in the third inning. Malcolm Hawthorne kicked things off with a single.
Four runs in the top of the fifth helped Flomaton close its deficit to 6-4. An RBI double by Andrew Cash, a sacrifice groundout by Corey Bailey, and a two-run home run by Dalton Simmons sparked Flomaton ‘s rally, but a groundout at third base would end the Hurricanes comeback hopes.
Jared Cooper got the win for the Eagles, allowing four runs over 4 2/3 innings. Cooper struck out four, walked four and gave up five hits.
Evan Tatum was charged with the loss for Flomaton. He allowed six runs in three innings with a walk.
Neal is 6-3 for the season.
