4 jailed in drug bust

Four people were arrested Tuesday in Brewton on a host of drug charges.
Brewton Police Sgt. Josh Stanley said the arrests were a by-product of on ongoing residential burglary investigation.
“We received information that one of the burglary suspects was staying in room No. 127 at the Colonial Manor in Brewton,” Stanley said. “As we executed a search warrant at the property, we located a number of illegal substances and items of drug paraphernalia inside the room.”
Stanley said officers found quantities of methamphetamine, OxyContin, crack cocaine, heroine and marijuana.
Arrested were:
• Brittany Kennedy, 22, of Brewton;
• Heather Black, 34, of Brewton;
• Holly Mullins, 24, of North Carolina; and,
• Anthony Cherry, 46, of North Carolina.
Each was booked into the Escambia County Detention Center on a variety of drug possession charges.
