It's week 10 after all.
T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal have resolved a scheduling dispute for the Battle of Murder Creek, the annual football rivalry between the two schools.
Earlier this month, Neal head coach Blaine Hathcock said he would prefer to play the game in week one or week five, noting that the team has played its homecoming game in week 10 for the past two years.
Miller coach Jamie Riggs held fast to playing in week 10. Over much of the 61-year rivalry, the game has traditionally been played at the end of the season.
Hathcock had little to say Tuesday about the decision that was made.
While the game is now scheduled for week 10, both school sare still waiting to hear from the state about when the region games will be scheduled and where.
Just last week, T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal learned their fate in reclassification.
Neal stayed in 4A, while Miller, whose enrollment has been down, dropped to 3A.
As of right now, Miller is scheduled to play Atmore in week one and Clarke County in week five as their non-region games.
W.S. Neal is still in talks with other non-region schools but is slated to have Calhoun in week five and possibly Daleville in week one.
