Mrs. Sarah Margaret Stewart, 62, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at a Pensacola hospital. She was a native of Flomaton, a former resident of Bratt, Fla., a resident of Atmore for 30 years, and was retired from Buster's Restaurant after 30 years. She attended the Unity Baptist Church and was preceded in death by parents, Leona and Curtis Singleton; two brothers, Johnny McCaw and Douglas Evans; and two sisters, Joyce Ann Linam and Virginia Godeaux.
She is survived by her husband, Woodrow “Woody” Stewart of Atmore; three daughters, Dianne (Bruce) Pike of San Antonio, Texas, Donna (Joey) Garner of Pascagoula, Miss., and Kelly (Jim) Eissler of Bay Minette; four grandchildren, Nathan Naranjo, U.S.M.C., of San Diego, Calif., Eric Eissler and Erika Eissler, both of Bay Minette, and Kayla Kresta of San Antonio; a brother, Gary Evans of Atmore; and a sister, Darlene (Jerry) Strength of Flomaton.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Daniels officiating. Burial followed at Rigby Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leo Amerson, Tommy Abrams, Boyd Sigafoose, Randolph Lambert, Rex Baggett and Leonard Purvis. Honorary pallbearers were Sgt. J.C. Mitchell and Thomas Qualls.
