Mrs. Thelma Nadine Graves Jackson, 86, of Virginia Drive, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native and life long resident of Brewton. She was of the Protestant faith and a retired schoolteacher from the Escambia County school system with 38 years of service.
She is survived by a daughter, Geraldine (Earl) Horton of East Brewton; a brother, Edwin Graves of Brewton; a sister, Donnie Graves (D.D.) Shavers of Tuscaloosa; a grandson, Keith (Jo Jo) Horton and one great-grandson, Harrison Horton.
Graveside funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m. at Beulah Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Henderson officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton.
