Tigers suffer early exit after trouble closing against Flomaton

A season that saw its bumps and bruises finally came to an end for the T.R. Miller Tigers yesterday, with a 52-44 loss to Flomaton in the first round of the area tournament.
The Tigers found themselves leading 30-26 at the half, and 38-35 by the end of three quarters. In the fourth quarter that lead began to shift. Flomaton attempted 19 free throws, making 11. Miller mustered only five points in the fourth with free throws by Joshua Jolly and a three-pointer by Jordan Williams. Miller was outscored 22-to-5 in the fourth.
Stokes Jennings led Miller with 12 points. Michael Smith scored 11 points.
Flomaton’s Darius Odom led all scorers with 17 points. Corey Bailey was a perfect 7-for-7 from the line in the fourth.
Flomaton will play Hillcrest on Friday at 7:15 p.m.
The Tigers finish its season 4-19.
